- Processing of investigation query messages such as return of funds, unable to apply, amendment, BCNR, recall of funds, OFAC, FATF.
- Working knowledge of payment processing both outward and inward.
- Ensuring response to all queries as per SLA, prioritization of sensitive messages, maintaining close co-ordination with other banks, operations team, business line and customer service desk to facilitate case closure.
- Analyzing recurrent queries and working with manager to suggest process improvements to reduce repetitive queries.
- Manage investigation based on the agreed matrices with business.
- Supervise and mentor junior investigators.
Key Result Areas
- Acquire thorough knowledge of cross border payments and handling investigation queries-incoming and outgoing for payments handled by CPC team.
- Ensure prompt processing of queries, to avoid delay in transfer of funds/return of funds.
- Suggest improvements to current processes.
- Ensure processing of query messages as per defined SOP.
- Handling of urgent requests from RM/Business/CSU.
- Liaise with internal departments or other departments within bank for case resolution.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Graduate with at least 8-10 years of diversified experience in banking operations covering a wide range of banking products and services.
- Good working knowledge of various SWIFT message types such as MT199, MT195, MT196, MT192, MT999, MT103, MT202 and MT202COV.
- Strong analytical, communication & presentation skills.
- Awareness of Compliance/AML/Regulatory Requirements.
- Conversant with the in-house various operating systems.
- Good computer skills and process understanding.
- Effective decision making & conflict handling.
