Responsibilities
Plan and execute Logistics HSE programs designed to promote Safety.
Train employees, verify program implementation and evaluate effectiveness.
Such programs shall include Project Safety, road, rail and warehouse safety, fire safety, life safety, chemical safety, logistics safety, hazardous materials transport and storage management, hygiene, accident and injury prevention, environmental, compliance, emergency response, risk management and loss control.
Develop / Educate on safety awareness through continuous programmes for employees and contractual employees.
Function effectively as a coordinator to implement safe work at height activities, structural stability, lifting plan and heavy vehicle management etc.
Execute and ensures the adequate investigation, reporting, and analysis of accidents/major incidents to prevent recurrence. Review all minor & major incidents (including fatalities) along with the concerned department head and ensure appropriate corrective action.
Function effectively as a coordinator of emergency response team. Review and conduct emergency response and spill response exercises.
Monitor/review HSEF legal requirements and compliance. Establish and ensure compliance with state and central statutory requirements and industry standards.
Eliminate the risk in Logistics Operations, Warehouse Operations, occupational injuries and illnesses, and risk of property losses by the use of recognized loss prevention and control techniques.
Direct / Supervise the Operations, Projects and Maintenance Safety as well as Fire Services.
Ensure continuous training and development of all people for better Safety performance, efficiency and individual growth.
Qualifications
- B.E. / B. Tech Engineering - Technical Qualification Preferred with Diploma / Certification in Safety Management.
- Minimum 8 Years of Experience in the field of Safety Pertaining to Logistics Operations.
