Job Description

JOB LOCATION : ANDHERI EAST, MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA

Role:

The Assistant Manager - Finance will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to various stakeholders. In this role, the candidate will manage a team of accountants, setting performance targets, monitoring their progress, and providing coaching and training to ensure continuous improvement and development.

What you will do:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports that reflect the financial position of the company
  • Ensuring full compliance with all applicable tax laws (Income Tax, Customs, GST, TDS, etc.), regulations, and accounting standards, maintaining the highest level of accuracy
  • Analyzing variances and making recommendations for corrective actions
  • Preparation of the annual budget and monitoring its implementation ensuring alignment with the financial targets
  • Regular review of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventories and cash management
  • Preparation of cash flow forecast and payment schedule on a weekly basis to ensure efficient liquidity management
  • Preparing documentation for for external and internal audits and coordinating with auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process
  • Responsible for performing ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to support the finance department's objectives.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Intermediate CA, MBA

Skills & Abilities:

  • Good Interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience (Trading or Distribution Industry preferred)
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced level in MS Excel for data analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus - Microsoft Dynamics (preferred)
