Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager - F&B Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the food and beverage department. This role includes ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, inventory management, and supporting the overall efficiency and profitability of the F&B operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Assist in preparing and managing the F&B budget, forecasts, and financial plans.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data, including P&L statements, cost reports, and inventory valuations.
Cost Control
Implement and monitor cost control systems and procedures to optimize expenses.
Conduct regular cost audits and variance analysis to ensure adherence to budgets.
Work closely with procurement to negotiate and manage supplier contracts to achieve cost savings.
Inventory Management
Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering, receiving, and storage of F&B items.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure proper stock levels to meet operational needs while minimizing waste and spoilage.
Operational Support
Collaborate with the culinary and service teams to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve menu pricing and profitability.
Support the implementation of new F&B initiatives and promotions.
Compliance And Standards
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and inspections.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures and best practices.
Team Management
Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring F&B staff.
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in F&B control, accounting, or financial management within the hospitality industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of F&B industry trends and best practices.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or a related field

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in F&B control, accounting, or financial management within the hospitality industry.
