Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled PMO professional to support our technical teams by overseeing end-to-end technical hiring processes, managing resource allocations, facilitating employee onboarding, and driving team engagement initiatives. This role will work closely with hiring managers, HR, and project teams to ensure optimal resource alignment and foster a collaborative and engaged team culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management with a focus on talent acquisition and employee engagement within a technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Hiring and Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for technical positions, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify skill requirements and define hiring strategies to meet project needs.
- Partner with recruitment agencies or other external sources to build a diverse talent pipeline.
- Conduct initial candidate assessments to ensure alignment with company values and technical requirements.
- Track recruitment metrics to evaluate effectiveness and provide regular updates to management.
2. Resource Management and Allocation
- Work closely with project managers to identify resource needs and allocate resources to projects effectively.
- Maintain a centralized resource management dashboard to track current and upcoming project staffing requirements.
- Optimize workforce utilization by balancing project demand with available resources.
- Coordinate resource reallocation based on project shifts or changing priorities.
- Assist in developing and implementing resource forecasting strategies to address skill gaps proactively.
3. Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees by coordinating with HR and IT teams for all necessary arrangements.
- Develop and manage an onboarding program for new technical hires, including orientation schedules, introductory training, and mentoring assignments.
- Conduct onboarding feedback sessions to continuously improve the onboarding process.
- Facilitate employee offboarding processes, including knowledge transfer and exit interviews, to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing projects.
4. Team Engagement and Culture Building
- Plan and execute team engagement activities, including team-building events to promote a positive work culture.
- Develop initiatives to enhance team morale, collaboration and gauge team satisfaction and engagement.
- Work with team leads to identify and address any team-related challenges or morale issues.
5. Process Improvement and Reporting
- Establish and refine processes for technical hiring, resource management, and onboarding to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Generate regular reports and insights on hiring status, resource allocation, onboarding effectiveness, and team engagement.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
- Support other ad hoc projects within the PMO as needed.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a PMO role, with a focus on technical hiring, resource management, and team engagement.
- Strong understanding of technical skill requirements and the recruitment lifecycle.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage with diverse teams.
- Experience in onboarding, team-building activities, and culture initiatives in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
