Supports Business Function and/or Business Excellence Centers to ensure goods are transported/ shipped from across the globe whilst meeting quality, legal, time and costs parameters while implementing Export & Import (EXIM) practices. Develop, maintain, and improve transport/ logistics processes to optimize material delivery to Project Sites .
What will you do
- Responsible for managing logistics activities- Domestic and International, in a manner that meets business fulfilment requirements in parallel with the goal of logistics cost reduction.
- Preparing checklist with CHA in close coordination with Project team in terms of material imports/ exports from short term monthly/ quarterly/ annual basis. This would include scheduling, process description, interaction within internal verticals as we'll as external environment for seamless process set up we'll in advance.
- Handling domestic movements in Pan India and finalizing the Vehicle Type/Hydraulic Axles/Container type required in accordance with the Dimensions, Weight of the cargo whilst coordination with transporters .
- Managing all Import and Export shipments w.r.t sourcing, finalization of Freight Forwarders, shipment execution, CHA coordination and end point delivery
- Responsible for coordination with transporters/ Logistics partner for order finalization post floating of RFQs for all transportation/logistics
- Capture all costs associated and identify savings and added value opportunities.
- Responsible for Quarterly Vendor Performance Evaluation w.r.t to services received, Billing and Process Improvement.
- Works closely with transport service providers to assure efficient and effective execution of processes, assists in obtaining necessary transport permits and codes and prepares proper transportation paperwork and export documentation.
- Registration at Custom ports in coordination with CHA s
- Application for Project Imports to avail Custom duty benefits to Projects
- Coordination with Finance for availing DBK benefits to project and timely Custom duty payment/ any other issues involving bank.
- Coordination with legal/contracts for vetting of any representation/ bond or any other communication/letter of similar nature.
- Coordination with Insurance team in case of any insurable event during transit
- Review & finalization of supplier dispatch document in coordination with CHA & with LC requirement for smooth custom clearance
- Ability to forecast/predict the situations fairly to avoid any delays leading to demurrages/ penalties. Giving heads up to the bottlenecks and take action in advance to address them.
- Ensures Safety, Health and Environmental requirements are implemented to the highest standards and are aligned to Linxon s, and our customers, governance / requirements.
- Coordinate with Transporter and Supplier to ensure proper packing while transportation of goods.
Experience and Education Required:
- bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline and/ or Commercial background.
- 7-8 years of qualitative experience across EXIM, Logistics, Operations, International Logistics,
- Having understanding and expertise in Core EXIM Operations, Logistics activities, Evaluation Metrics and Stakeholder Management.
- Regular updation with the legal framework around EXIM framework with a focus on changes and Govt notifications issued from time to time. Ability to understand and apply to the given situations.
- Ability to relate to and to manage multiple stakeholders
- Ability to take initiative and apply both creativity and perseverance whilst remaining compliant with of Linxon s Code of Conduct.
