Role Summary
The position is responsible for leading a team of embedded hardware, firmware, software engineers for product development. This role entails overseeing industrial automation projects responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for industrial processes with a focus on product development
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design, development, and testing of embedded hardware, firmware, and software components for automation systems.
Manage the full lifecycle of projects, from concept to deployment, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the viability of automation projects and recommend optimal solutions.
Ensure that new product development projects are executed to achieve the cost and schedule objectives.
Review all documentation of project including SW/HW/Project Management related to technical aspects.
Focus to build competent engineers in both technical & professional and guide them to meet & exceed their performance metrics to support Flowserve organization.
Have strong collaboration with global business units engineering leaders; understand their needs and expectations drive the engineering team to deliver the same.
Review and approve the work done by the team and work closely with the engineers, guide, motivate and coach them to meet the business expectations.
Collaborate closely with global team and ensure timely execution of programs in the team.
Create product roadmaps by identifying opportunity spaces for new product & technology developmentsRequirement:
Engineering degree in Electronics & Communication/Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Instrumentation with 8 plus years of experience in product and application development
Experience in managing engineering teams specializing in embedded systems.
Proficiency in embedded hardware design, including microcontroller-based systems, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.
Familiarity with DCS systems, industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, and OPC UA.
Knowledgeable in microprocessor, peripherals, and related analog/digital circuitry
Knowledge on PCB layout, board stack ups, via structures, grounding strategies, impedance matching, trace width calculations
Expertise in firmware development for embedded systems, including real-time operating systems (RTOS), device drivers, and low-level programming languages (C/C++).
Understanding and experience with API and web services. Linux, UNIX, OSX, AWS, Azure
Strong software development skills, with experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# for developing automation software and applications.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members to achieve project goals.
