The Ecommerce merchandising position is a critical position to ensure the health of sales of the Ecommerce business. This person has to lead the merchandising and buying activities of Ecommerce nationally.
The key responsibilities include:
- Channel-Product Execution: Right product to the right vertical within eCom, like brandstore (Levi.in), marketplace and outright sales to eCom partners.
- He/she has to work with internal and external (platform) teams to ensure the right buy (pre-season), ensure sales are moving in the right direction during season between various verticals and take corrective actions (in season) and ensure end of season sales (post season) execution.
- Site Merchandising: Work cross-functionally with the marketing, merchandizing and business teams to ensure product information are accurately displayed on the e-commerce platforms. Monitor the website & app for content accuracy, consistency, and user experience.
- Inventory management: Ensuring right inventory is available for the sale at Levi.in and marketplace pool. Further, this position is also responsible for recommending the right discounts and promotional activities for achieving the sales targets.
- Sales Analysis : Analyze sales & returns data, partner feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for product assortment optimization, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns. Use data to make informed decisions about product selection, pricing and inventory. Build merchandising dashboards & closely monitor to improve business KPIs.
Mandatory requirements
- Graduate, with preference to Fashion, Retail, or Planning related qualifications
- Excellent quantitative aptitude and spreadsheet / excel skills
- 4 - 10 years of experience in apparel/fashion industry, preferably in buying / merchandising / planning roles
- Exposure to Ecom essential (either worked in an ECom organization or handled ECom as a channel working with a brand)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
Desirable:
- Fashion or retail related qualification(s)
- ECom business structural understanding
- Knowledge of SEO, performance marketing (PLA/CPC), and online merchandising best practices.
- Conversant with enterprise IT systems, experience of working on an ERP (preferably SAP) and planning tools like SAS, APO etc
- Data analytics experience
