Work closely with cross functional team to realize new products
Job Purpose
Work in association with team of researchers in an innovation program to perform research & development activities related to advanced materials and process technology in the field of polymer composites, polymer compounding, formulations of structural adhesives, sealants specialty coatings, etc. in order to gain a competitive edge in the market.
Qualifications
- PhD/Masters in Polymer chemistry/technology, B.Tech Polymer technology or Advanced technical degree in relevant area.
- 5years experience in research and development
- Ability to independently evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques and procedures

Key Responsibilities
- Working on global innovation program and Research & Development activities related to polymers technology
- Maintain up to date awareness of developments in relevant technologies & industry and contribute in brain storming discussions for innovations
- Generate innovative ideas and applications that contribute to developing new customers/products/applications /solutions.
- Develop functional and sustainable materials and/or processes in partnership with cross-functional team, vendors to deliver differentiated material solutions
- Perform R&D activities including participation in planning and implementing projects though stage gate process
- Provide guidance and support to fellow researchers
- Independently manages small to medium sized projects
- Generates alternatives for problems along with financial implications and gives recommendations for the best/ least cost solution
- Assisting in scale-up from development to production quantities
- identifies immediate potential problems, to proactively generate solutions for them.
- Takes responsibility to drive own performance; strives to exceed his targets and the standards based on customer requirements .
- Uses resources well with a commitment to process efficiency, simplification & continuous improvement
