Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the operations of the converter within the smelter, ensuring efficient production of copper
- Implement and maintain best practices to optimize converter processes and maximize output
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure the converter equipment is properly serviced and maintained
- Lead a team of operators and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures
- Adhere to safety and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety and compliance within the smelter
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and achieve production targets
- Provide regular reports and updates on converter operations to senior management
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and technologies to enhance converter performance
Qualifications
8-12 years of experience in smelter operations within the Copper Business industry
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field
