Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager Smelter will be responsible for:
- Overseeing day-to-day smelting operations and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Leading and managing a team of smelter operators, technicians, and support staff
- Implementing best practices to optimize smelting processes and maximize productivity
- Collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency
- Monitoring and analyzing production data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Developing and implementing training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of smelter personnel
- Participating in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation activities
- Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance smelting operations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 8 to 10 years of experience in the copper industry
- Proven track record in smelter operations
- Experience in managing teams and driving operational efficiency
