Job Role: Assistant Manager - Accounts
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, trial balance and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and company policies. Provide financial reports and analysis to the management for informed decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments and other Statutory Payments
- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and follow up on outstanding invoices with customers.
- Handle reconciliation of accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
- Monitor actual financial performance against the budget and analyses variances.
- Assist in forecasting financial outcomes based on historical data.
- Generate periodic MIS reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, as required by the management.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern or improvement.
- Manage the credit /bank accounts and perform regular reconciliations.
- Ensure efficient cash flow management to meet operational requirements.
- Facilitate internal and external audits and coordinate audit-related activities.
- Address and resolve audit findings promptly.
- Handle TDS, TCS and GST return filing in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the finalization of books and accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor billing and data entry processes, reviewing reports generated by team members.
- Monitor receivables and payables to ensure optimal cash flow.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial management roles.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the travel industry or related sectors preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office suite (especially Excel) and ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
- Handle TDS, TCS and GST return filing in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Detail-oriented: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
