Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic AGM-Finance for our client, a leading organization in the baby clothing and children's fashion sector. The AGM-Finance will oversee all financial activities, ensuring that the company's financial health is strong, compliant, and aligned with business goals. This includes responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial risk management, as well as ensuring robust financial governance in line with the company's growth in the baby clothing and children's fashion sector. The AGM Finance will work closely with leadership to make strategic financial decisions and maintain relationships with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Financial Planning and Management:

  • Prepare the annual budget, including multi-year financial plans, in collaboration with department heads and the CFO.
  • Monitor organizational expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary guidelines and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate.
  • Analyze financial performance, providing regular insights and updates to the leadership team.
  • Arrange and manage company debt facilities, ensuring access to optimal financial resources.
  • Oversee cash flow, credit administration, and business insurance programs.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and reports that support business growth and shareholder value.

Financial Governance and Compliance:

  • Establish and implement strong financial control frameworks to ensure data accuracy and transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, financial legislation, and stock market regulations (BSE & NSE).
  • Collaborate with external auditors to complete audits and provide them with necessary documentation and reports.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to governance standards and recommend process improvements.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage financial risks including market and credit risks.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework and a company-wide Risk Register, ensuring regular reviews.
  • Implement fraud prevention policies and ensure that financial operations are protected from external and internal threats.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to senior management and external stakeholders, ensuring all submissions are timely and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze revenue streams, operating costs, and margins, offering actionable recommendations for improving profitability.
  • Work with legal and sales teams to review customer contracts for revenue recognition implications.

Stock Market and Investor Relations:

  • Ensure the preparation and submission of all financial reports as required by the BSE and NSE regulations.
  • Oversee investor relations activities, including communication of financial performance and growth strategies to shareholders.
  • Ensure compliance with disclosure requirements, stock exchange listing agreements, and investor communication protocols.

Leadership and Staff Management:

  • Lead the finance team, setting goals aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Mentor and develop team members through training, goal setting, and feedback to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, orientation, and professional development of finance staff.

Desired Profile:

Educational Qualification:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or a Master's in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role, ideally in a listed company or retail sector.
