As an Assistant Engineering Manager, you will ensure adherence to the Scope of Work defined in the Service Agreement, delivering services in line with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and achieving key performance indicators. Your role involves understanding the site's operational and technical requirements, maintaining necessary supplies and services, and overseeing site facilities, including MDF and IDF rooms. You will establish and implement engineering and operational procedures, energy management programs, and preventive maintenance systems. Responsibilities include early involvement in facilities operation, providing advisory services during inspections and project development, and managing minor projects from initiation to completion.
You will ensure smooth operations of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing installations, and civil works, provide 24/7 emergency call support, and develop innovation programs to reduce costs and increase productivity. Continuous optimization of processes and documentation, compliance with policies and regulatory standards, and the protection of health and safety are critical. Additionally, you will manage contract vendors for technical audits, participate in client-initiated programs, and provide monthly operation and maintenance reports to the client.
Core Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Planned, predictive and corrective works of building systems.
- Annual Power down planning, execution
- Review the maintenance/service practices of M&E contractors to deliver quality work practices in line with the manufacturer recommendations, established processes, tools and documentation.
- Incident management support including 24/7 on call for incidents
- Support and assist any installation, commissioning and programming as on when required if any
- Governance of as built drawings and OEM information
- Production and management of MOPS/SOPS/EOPS
- Management of lifecycle asset management and tracking
- Develop and implement innovation programs and processes that reduce utility costs, increase productivity, produce cost savings and share learnings with the wider team.
- Identify energy saving initiatives and work through to implementation and validation.
- Review of all maintenance reports to ensure maintenance is conducted appropriately and performance issues are actioned
- To carry out all engineering & operational procedures.
- To liaise with the vendors for maintenance/service practices of M&E contactors to deliver quality work practices in line with the manufacturer recommendations.
- Ensure proper functioning of Electrical, HVAC, PAC, FAS systems, Plumbing fixtures, F&B equipments.
- To ensure that all maintenance related schedules & shut down in consultations with OEM & follow the same
- Daily inspection of log books, history card, checklist, escalation charts, OCP & PPM schedules etc
- To ensure an uptime of 100% and set up the practices to deliver seamless service to client location(s)
- Handle (if needed) small renovation projects from initiation to completion
- To ensure and guide the technical staff for closures for all technical issues in the facility
- To adhere to 52 weeks annual M&E maintenance schedule.
- Assisting chief engineer to maintain consistency on agreed SLA & KPI with the client.
- To coordinate with transition team during go-live of new projects/Facility.
- To participate during emergency evacuation procedure and support EHS team
- Prepare and collate data related to vendor performance and escalate as required.
- Coordinating with vendors to submit the on time invoices
- Involving in techno commercial meeting for any engineering activities
- Coordinating with vendors for ad-hoc activities
- Assist chief engineer for any audit requirements as on when required.
- Coordinating events with other stakeholders for all MEP requirements
- Assisting chief engineering for all engineering budgets
- Tracking and managing all MEP inventories
- Coordination with landlord for all their MEP works inside the floor
Records Management
- To ensure Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly & Yearly records are prepared and sent to the chief engineer for all engineering related activities.
- To update & maintain all records on a daily basis (Log books, History Cards, Equipment details, Service Reports, Incident Reports etc.)
Reporting Management
- Daily Report Service Report, SLA Report
- Monthly Report Energy Report, Incident tracker, Major works carried out report & Equipment Status Report,
- Quarterly Report Statutory Compliance Report
- Building Compliance Doc Report.
