Educational Qualification
Essential: LL.B degree from a recognized university(from UGC/AICTE approved college/institute) with 03-07 years of experience in managing regulatory compliance and related advisory.
Preferred: Knowledge and experience in data protection compliance.
Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager in the Data Protection Department will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our customer, employees and other stakeholder's personal data. The position requires a proactive approach to data privacy and the ability to foster a culture of data protection within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Handle customer data privacy inquiries/concerns professionally and efficiently, ensuring customer trust and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various departments to integrate data protection measures/compliances into business processes. Also collaborate with IT/DE teams to ensure alignment between legal requirements and technical measures.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Manage and maintain comprehensive records of data processing activities, incident logs, and compliance documentation.
- Data Privacy framework: Assist in developing and implementing data privacy framework including data protection policies, procedures in business processes, ensuring they align with legal standards and organizational objectives.
- Technology and Data Privacy: Stay abreast of technological advancements and their implications on data privacy, legislative and regulatory developments in the field of data protection and adapt strategies accordingly.
Training and Awareness: support DPO in conducting data protection training sessions to enhance awareness and understanding of data privacy responsibilities among employees.
Stakeholder Management
Internal - Work closely with other members of DPO team including other departments within verticals, various internal business teams to ensure that data protection framework is integrated across the organization.
External - Engage with data principal to address and resolve data privacy inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and trust in our data handling practices.
Engage, if required, with regulator for resolution of data privacy related matters and/or compliances.
Technical Competencies
- Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, privacy compliance, data security standards in changing regulatory and business environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and MIS report preparation and data analysis.
- Customer centric and outcome oriented.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within data management and reporting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
