Overview
We are in search of a detail-oriented and exceptionally organized candidate to become a part of our team as a Data IO / Data Archivist specializing in Visual Effects (VFX), Animation, and Adaptation.
In this capacity, you will be tasked with the management and upkeep of data associated with our visual effects, animation, and adaptation ventures. Your primary objective will be to ensure the accurate archiving, organization, and accessibility of data for all team members throughout the duration of each project.
This position is integral to the smooth operation of our post-production facility, where the Data IO team plays a pivotal role in providing technical support and collaborating with departments such as Editorial, Motion Design, VFX, and 3D. Key duties involve offering assistance, support, and maintaining data integrity across the post-production facility.

Responsibilities
- 5 - 7 years in post production industry.
- Collaborate closely with the production team to understand data requirements for visual effects, animation, and adaptation projects.
- Manage the ingestion and organization of data including digital / VFX assets, scripts, references, master and project files.
- Develop and maintain efficient data management systems to ensure the smooth flow of data throughout the production pipeline.
- Implement file naming conventions and folder structures to ensure consistency and ease of access.
- Conduct regular backups and implement data security protocols to protect against loss or corruption.
- Work closely with artists, animators, and other team members to troubleshoot data-related issues and provide technical support as needed.
- Monitor data storage capacity and make recommendations for additional storage or upgrades as necessary.
- Media export, encoding and transcoding audio and video data to required specifications.
- Supporting artists and producer requests as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data management for visual effects, animation, and adaptation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in visual communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in data management, preferably in a visual effect, animation, Versoning or entertainment production environment.
- Proficiency with data management software and tools such as Shotgun, Data IO or similar.
- Strong understanding of file formats, compression techniques, and data transfer protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Having knowledge of visual effects, localization, and animation production pipelines is advantageous.
