Asset Inspection Manager to be based in
Ras Al Khair, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, In the
Maritime industry, who will be responsible for but not limited to:
JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES:
The manager of the asset inspection department is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the asset inspection process within the organization that will be performed by a third party. The primary objective is to ensure the integrity, reliability, and compliance of all assets through effective inspection strategies and methodologies. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining operational efficiency, minimizing risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategic planning: Develop and implement comprehensive asset inspection strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Team leadership: Lead and manage a team of asset inspection supervisors and engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Inspection Operations: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of asset inspections, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Technology Integration: Stay abreast of technological advancement and inspection tools and methodologies, integrating innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risk associated with asset integrity, implementing preventive measures and corrective actions as needed.
- Reporting and analysis: Generate regular reports on inspection findings, trends and performance metrics. Conduct thorough analysis to drive informed decision making.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, and HSE, to ensure seamless integration of inspection activities with broader organizational objectives.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for the Asset Inspection Division, optimizing resources to achieve cost-effective results, handle service contract, monitor planned and unbudgeted expenditure.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
Professional Qualification:
- Welding inspector certification i.e AWS-CWI or CSWIP 3.2.2, Lead Auditor ISO 9001-2015, ISO 55001- Asset Management Lead
Competencies:
- Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to asset integrity and inspection.
- Knowledge/experience with asset inspection companies and their contractual matters.
- Superior administrative skills including contract development, contract administration, cost analysis, forecasting, negotiation, etc.
- Leadership and management experience, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with relevant software and technologies used in asset inspection.
Experience:
- At least 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in asset inspection, with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilities, five (5) years of which must be in a managerial or similar capacity.
Languages: Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English.

- Internal Interactions: Internal Engineering Department, other business work-streams within the company, Engineering Manager, GM Engineering, VP Engineering.
- External Interactions: Software Suppliers, Subcontractors, Consultants, Inspection Agencies.
