Overview: The Assembly Manager will oversee the entire assembly process, ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of hydraulic systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in hydraulic systems and strong managerial skills to lead the assembly team effectively. The Assembly Manager will work closely with the production team to optimize assembly procedures and meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly Oversight:
- Manage and supervise the assembly line operations for hydraulic systems.
- Ensure that all assembly procedures are followed according to the company's standards.
- Monitor the progress of assembly projects and ensure timely completion.
Quality Control:
- Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that assembled products meet the required specifications and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of assembly processes and finished products.
- Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Team Management:
- Lead, train, and mentor assembly line workers, fostering a productive and cohesive team environment.
- Allocate tasks and manage workloads to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels of components and materials required for assembly.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor usage and wastage of materials to minimize costs.
Process Optimization:
- Continuously assess and improve assembly processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices in assembly operations.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the assembly line.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all assembly operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety training sessions and enforce safety protocols.
- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents in the assembly area.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in hydraulic systems or assembly processes are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly management, preferably in a manufacturing environment involving hydraulic systems.
- Proven track record of managing assembly teams and achieving production targets.
Technical Skills:
- Hydraulic Systems:
- In-depth understanding of hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, accumulators, and fluid types.
- Knowledge of how these components interact within a hydraulic system.
Managerial Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
