Overview
The ASIC Design Engineer plays a crucial role in our organization by developing integrated circuits from concept to mass production. They are responsible for designing and verifying complex digital and mixed-signal ASICs for various applications.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define ASIC specifications and architecture.
- Design and implement digital and mixed-signal circuits using Verilog and VHDL.
- Develop and optimize RTL code for ASIC implementation.
- Conduct functional and timing simulations to ensure design correctness and performance.
- Perform design reviews and resolve issues related to power, performance, and area.
- Create and maintain design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and verification reports.
- Work closely with physical design engineers to ensure successful tape-out.
- Support silicon bring-up and collaborate with validation and test teams.
- Analyze and debug silicon and system-level issues to ensure product success.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in ASIC design, verification, and implementation.
- Proficiency in Verilog and VHDL for RTL design and verification.
- Strong understanding of digital design, synthesis, and static timing analysis.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools and ASIC design methodologies.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Perl for design automation and validation.
- Familiarity with FPGA prototyping and emulation for ASIC validation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a proactive approach to work.
