Overview:
Rooftop is looking for 6 enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to support the Indiyart exhibition showcasing the vibrant tribal art of Madhya Pradesh, particularly focusing on Bhil, Gond, and Baiga. This exhibition aims to display artwork and educate visitors about the cultural significance and historical context behind each piece.
Location: Bikaner House, New Delhi
Dates: 30th November to 5th December 2024
Timings:10 am to 6 pm
Stipend: Rs. 750 per day
Deadline: 25th November 2024
Key Responsibilities:
- Visitor Engagement: Welcome visitors warmly and give them an overview of the exhibition and its significance.
- Art Explanation: Assist in explaining each artwork to visitors, highlighting the techniques, cultural backgrounds, and stories behind the works from the Bhil, Gond, and Baiga tribes.
- Facilitate Interaction: Encourage visitor engagement and facilitate discussions around the artworks, ensuring attendees a rich and informative experience.
- Support Event Logistics: Assist in setting up and dismantling the exhibition, and managing visitor flows.
Qualifications:
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills are a must, as volunteers will interact with a diverse audience and share informative narratives about the artwork.
- Interest in Tribal Art: A keen interest in tribal art, particularly that of Madhya Pradesh (Bhil, Gond, and Baiga), and a desire to learn more about these art forms.
- Background in Relevant Fields: A background in art, culture, history, or exhibitions is preferred. Previous experience in art-related events will be an advantage.
- Availability: Must be available for the entire duration of the exhibition (30th November to 5th December 2024).
