Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven
Area Sales Manager to oversee and manage sales operations within a designated area or region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing a team of sales representatives, and building relationships with key clients and stakeholders. The Area Sales Manager will ensure that sales targets are met or exceeded, while also maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve the area's sales targets.
- Monitor market trends, competition, and customer preferences to adjust strategies as needed.
- Create and execute territory business plans to ensure consistent growth and expansion.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives.
- Set individual sales targets for the team and monitor performance.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Client & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, retailers, and distributors in the area.
- Act as the point of contact for clients, addressing any issues or concerns and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare sales forecasts and budgets for the area.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and customer interactions in CRM systems.
- Report sales metrics and performance issues to senior management on a regular basis.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of sales experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in Retail preferred.
