Job Description of an Area Manager - Sales
1. Market mapping
2. Generate leads
3. Assess the Risk, identify protection gaps
4. Advise and provide solution to manage the risk
5. Obtain competitive quotes from Insurers
6. Maintain good relations with insurers
7. Be informed about changes in IRDA guidelines and about the latest developments with Insurers
8. Prepare Quote Comparative Report (QCR) for submission
9. Present the QCR and product features to the client
10. Negotiate and successfully close the business
11. SPOC for client
12. Claims assistance - collect the initial required information from the client in case of claims and
relay to insurer/claims team
13. Coordinate between departments and all others concerned, those who internal to the
organisation as well as external, for effective resolution of the claim
14. Cross-selling
15. Generate MIS on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis
16. Be abreast about new / existing products to be able to provide the most suitable advise on risk
management
17. Achieve sales targets set by the organization
