We are hiring an Area Sales Manager - East (Publishing) for our client based at Kolkata, West Bengal. As an Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing the sales in the Eastern region of India. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience in the publishing industry. The job location is Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This is a full-time role.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales role in the publishing industry
- Strong knowledge of the publishing industry in the Eastern region
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Result-oriented mindset with a strong drive to achieve sales targets
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and publishers
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools
- Willingness to travel within the Eastern region
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets in the Eastern region
- Manage a team of sales representatives and provide guidance, coaching, and training
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and publishers in the publishing industry
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the market presence in the Eastern region
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to the management team
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and marketing materials
- Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to represent the company and network with potential clients
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing their queries, concerns, and providing timely support
