We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Area Sales Manager for Retail Assets to join
our team in the Financial Services sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and
expanding the sales of retail financial products such as personal loans, home loans, car loans, credit
cards, and other asset-based products within a designated geographic region. You will lead a team of
sales professionals, develop sales strategies, drive growth, and build strong relationships with clients, financial institutions, and channel partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve targets for retail assets such as
personal loans, mortgages, auto loans, and other financial products within the assigned region.
- Drive the channel partners to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for retail
asset products.
- Analyse market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Channel Management & Development:
- Onboard channel partners within the assigned region and ensure target achievement
- Conduct regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions to improve
channel performance.
- Identify skill gaps and provide targeted training to enhance product knowledge and selling
techniques.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including prospective customers,
financial advisors, brokers, and third-party partners.
- Act as the key point of contact and escalate any client issues or concerns to senior
management.

- Provide consultative support to partners by understanding their requirements and providing
assistance in order to improve their performance.
Sales Execution & Business Development:
- Actively engage in lead generation activities, including networking, cold calling, and attending
industry events to generate new business opportunities.
- Ensure effective sales conversion from leads to partners while maintaining high-quality service
standards.
- Collaborate with banking partners, operations & credit teams to streamline processes and
enhance customer experience.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor sales performance across the region, ensuring Profitability, tracking key performance
indicators (KPIs), conversion rates, and other relevant metrics.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, highlighting achievements,
challenges, and opportunities.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, assess performance gaps, and implement corrective
actions as needed.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical
standards.
- Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and ensure the team adheres to all
compliance protocols.
- Oversee the proper documentation of sales transactions and ensure accuracy in the application
process for all retail asset products.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience in financial services, with at least 2+ years of experience
in managing DSA business (e.g., loans, mortgages, credit cards).
- Proven success in driving sales growth and achieving targets in the financial services sector.
- Experience in managing a sales team and overseeing a regional sales operation.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-
performance teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and
partners effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of financial products, particularly in retail assets such as personal loans,
home loans, and credit cards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market opportunities and improve sales
strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Results-oriented with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive market
environment.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region to meet Channel partners, attend
industry events, and support the sales team.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with regular office hours, but flexibility required for client meetings and
industry events.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for special channel/ customer
engagements.
- Field-based with regular travel to meet clients and business partners.
