Job Description

The company is a global leader in vision care, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our Contact Lens Division. As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and building strong relationships within your assigned geographical area.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed regional sales targets for contact lens products.
  2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering growth in both existing and untapped markets.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, eye care professionals, and distributors to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance and support to maximize their potential.
  5. Collaborate with marketing teams to implement effective promotional campaigns and product launches in the region.
  6. Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to provide insightful feedback and adapt strategies accordingly.
  7. Prepare and analyze sales reports, providing regular updates to senior management on performance, market conditions, and opportunities for improvement.
  8. Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to enhance product knowledge and selling skills.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
  10. Represent company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the brand and establish a strong presence in the market.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  2. Proven track record of successful sales management and achieving sales targets in the healthcare or medical device industry.
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  5. In-depth knowledge of the ophthalmic or eyecare industry and understanding of contact lens products is preferred.
  6. Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
