nRole Purpose:
nThe Data Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data driven products that provide value to organization's customers and other stakeholders. A Product Engineer's main role is to create and maintain robust, scalable and reliable products which can include tools, dashboards, and data applications that enable data-driven decision making.
nThis role is responsible for working with the DA&I Platform Team and Data Governance Team to ensure all data products are in compliance with standards.
nThe Data Architect is a multi-skilled technologist with full stack experience, capable of guiding a team to meet the organizations data needs.

nKey Responsibilities:
- nCreate high-level design outlining product feature, functionality, and technical requirements
- nDefine the technical architecture of the product incorporating different components, subsystems, interfaces, technology stacks, frameworks, and tools
- nResponsible for solutioning foundational/ big rock capabilities that will be leveraged by development pods to create point solutions
- nEnsure technical solution aligns with the business goals and objectives of the product organization
- nManage technical risks that could impact product development and delivery; develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks and ensure on time and within budget delivery
- nGuide and provide technical expertise to development teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration and automated deployment
- nReviews data dictionary to improve documentation and coordination
- nProvide direction on data validation rules, data cleansing processes to ensure data is reliable and consistent
- nProvide direction on security best practices throughout project cycle including secure coding practices and code reviews
- nAssist in building of platform architecture information blueprints and data models that illustrate how information is stored, processed, and accessed across the enterprise
- nLead data architecture, data sourcing, data flow, and solution discussions for data initiatives
- nParticipate in platform information architecture discussions around needs and alignment to enterprise goals
- nCollaborate on data-related business requirements and perform data architecture reviews
- nWork to improve the release preparation process in coordination with scrum team
- nUltimately responsible for the quality of products deployed to production
- nPre Release: Coordinate the release schedule and resources required (coverage plan)
- nPre Release: represent capability changes in CAB meetings
- nReview and approve solution design templates
- nExample deliverables: Create & maintain architecture diagrams & data models (current and future state), create solution data flow diagram, create solution data model, evolve & maintain technology stack
nSkills, Knowledge, Experience and Education
- nBachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or related field
- nExperience with large scale enterprise-wide data and analytics environments
- nExperience in Architectural Design Technique
- nExperience with the following or equivalent: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, ADLS Gen2, SQL, Tabular models, Event Hub, Azure Functions
- nFamiliarity with business concepts and impact of data on business processes
- nExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- nExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
