Overview
PURPOSE
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Apprentice Technician in the IT industry. As an Apprentice Technician, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware systems. This is an entry-level position suitable for individuals with a passion for technology and a desire to kick-start their career in the field.
As a Graduate Apprentice you will be accountable for providing operations support for Airline/Airport customers.Y. The Apprentice will be working with SGS team.The focus will be on learning about technologies methods and acquiring skills and proficiency whilst providing some additional capacity to the existing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure SLA with the shortest restoral times possible.
- You will carry out incident management to internal or external customers in accordance with the terms of the customer contract and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Capable of managing the replacement of faulty equipment through the use of spares and ensuring timely replenishment.
- Adhere to installation guidelines and industry best practices in order to deliver quality service and infrastructure operations.
- To provide the highest level of Service Operation availability ensuring Systems and Products are properly configured and maintained
- Use the appropriate tools and equipment to perform the installation, intervention, and repairs.
- Report and escalate to the next level those problems which cannot be resolved.
- Carry out preventive and proactive maintenance of equipment and monitoring of systems and services in accordance with agreed schedules and customer expectations.
- To provide onsite support to Users during the cutover of the services.
- He / She is agreeable on 24 x 7 shifts duty
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
- Diploma, Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field equivalent.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware components and systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Should be flexible to work evenings or weekends as required.
- This role requires flexibility to work in rotating shifts, including night shifts.
- Ability to stay composed and perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Must be able to adapt quickly to new processes, tools, and technologies.
- Having valid Indian passport will be an advantage.
