An Apprentice attends a local college and may be recruited into any area of the business and may move between different departments to help determine their long-term career choice. Generally, the Apprenticeship training course is a total of 4 years however this may vary between regions. An Apprentice will support different departments and work in a supervised environment for the majority of their training period generally starting in September of each year and progressing through the salary scales which is linked to successful achievement of each year of their college course.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide support to various departments/department leads during the training period completing work assignments as directed by the local Supervisor. (20%)
Recruited as entry level and supported through a local educational institute, and Apprentice will spend 1 day per week completing College training. (20%)
Learn about products, processes, machinery, systems, culture and people through completion of the apprenticeship scheme. (20%)
Provides reports, analysis, and statistical data as required by local management. (20%)
May provide support and guidance to other Apprentices and to the Manager, Human Resources in delivering induction/hiring activities, presentations etc. (20%)
Representative Qualifications:
Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.
