We are currently seeking for an Application Support Scientist who will be based in Bangalore and will be reporting to the Application Support Manager.
Position Overview:
Development of new and novel application workflows forThe incumbent will collaborate withthoughtleader customers to understand theirproteomicsdevelopment needs.
Generation of content such as technical notes, presentations, and scientific papers.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Routine operation and support of LC-MS(Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry) systems in the lab.
Plan and execute analysis which help to showcase instrument performance capabilities into scientifically meaningful data and results to demonstrate product value.
Continuousengagement withtheproteomicscommunityto identifysignificantanalytical opportunities for SCIEX.
Manage a minimum of four customer collaborations to drive thought leader content output as well asunderstanding ofvaluable analytical needs for future SCIEX development.
Support of sales team within the market to engage with customers.
Provide top tier scientific support for the global applications team withinthemarketsegment.
Education and Work Experience:
Master's degree, with no less than 3+ years of experience inproteomics, metabolomics and lipidomics LC-MS sciences OR aPh.D. inproteomics LC-MS scienceswith minimum 2 years of related experience.
Detailed technical knowledge ofhigh-resolutionLC-MS
Detailed knowledge of state-of-the-art software solutions
Strong analytical troubleshooting skills
Deep understanding ofomics biochemistry
Required Capabilities:
The ability to work with cross-functional teams(business, sales, marketing)
The ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment is critical to success in this team
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Ability to develop a strong value propositionfor a customerin the content
Continuous improvement mentality
50% travelon average per month
Additional Requirements:
Travel: About 50% of total time in different parts of India and abroad
Experience in handling Nano LC - MS
