Software Application Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee/manage a portfolio of applications supporting global clinical trials and enterprise systems.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure alignment of applications with business and IT strategies.
- Research and share information on updates to existing or new/emerging applications, technology trends, products, and capabilities.
Business Case Support:
- Support the development of business cases.
- Facilitate the estimation process with vendors, IT, and business partners.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Serve as a focal point to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Determine feasibility based on application capability.
- Communicate application-related issues and collaborate with project teams and vendors on changes, fixes, and updates.
Stakeholder Partnership:
- Partner with clinical, corporate, and IT stakeholders to define, develop, and execute application roadmaps.
Vendor Relationship Management:
- Oversee/manage vendor relationships.
- Facilitate contract needs, licensing, SOW, SLA, project management, resources, and delivery of applications within time and budget.
Application Implementation:
- Manage implementation of applications, including developing project plans, identifying tasks, resource management, configuration, validation, user acceptance, and creating training documentation.
Application Oversight:
- Oversee applications within the assigned portfolio including system administration, system integration, user role/group assignment, report creation, change control, validation, troubleshooting, and triaging application issues.
Technical Oversight:
- Provide technical oversight for data mapping requirements and assist with data migration activities.
Validation Efforts:
- Manage validation efforts including test script creation or review.
- Serve as UAT Lead and/or perform user acceptance testing.
Standards and Documentation:
- Create and maintain standards, procedures, and documentation related to the area of responsibility.
Steering Committee and Governance Team:
- Serve as a member and/or chair of the steering committee and governance team related to the assigned applications.
- Ensure adherence and compliance with regulatory and security enterprise guidelines, policies, and standards.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Stay abreast of and communicate application impacts through collaboration with vendor, clinical, corporate, and IT stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of departmental and organizational project and portfolio management processes.
Reporting:
- Compile and provide monthly status reports, KPIs, and metrics across supported applications.
Team Management:
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to team members.
- Direct supervision of assigned staff including performance reviews, career growth development, timesheet and leave approval, and address/escalate employee issues.

Qualifications Education:
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Mandatory experience in managing Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
- Preferred knowledge of clinical research and experience in biopharma or CRO.
