The Role

As an Application/Software Architect, you'll be responsible for designing cutting-edge software frameworks, systems, and products that will set the standard for the industry. You'll use your extensive technical knowledge to conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes, while also identifying and resolving any framework design weaknesses.

You'll use your technical expertise to provide technical leadership to the application development team, perform design and code reviews, and ensure that uniform enterprise-wide application design standards are maintained. You'll also collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure that the architecture is aligned with business requirements, making sure that the project meets its goals.

Your expertise in designing major aspects of the architecture of an application, including components such as user interface, middleware, and infrastructure, will be put to use as you create and maintain documentation surrounding the software architecture, application design processes, component integration, testing guidelines, and other key elements.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

• 10+ Years of Experience in application development, integration, or system

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Business domain experience minimum one - Automotive / Manufacturing/ Airports / BFSI

• Proven experience as an Application Architect with a focus on middleware platforms and event-driven architecture. Solid understanding of event-driven design patterns, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

• Technical knowledge of messaging products such as IBM MQ, TIBCO EMS/RV/BW and/or Open Source messaging such as Kafka, Rabbit, ActiveMQ, etc

• Have atleast 3+years experience in deployment and build of Middleware platform and atleast 5+ years experience in trouble shooting and managing the environment.

• Experience troubleshooting technical issues, including application deadlock, thread issues, and configuration errors, is expected.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Application development- Experience developing, integrating, and troubleshooting Java and/or C/C++/C# code is required. Any development experience using sockets, messaging APIs, multithreaded and distributed applications would be a plus.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Strong proficiency in Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace and related technologies.

• Strong Knowledge on DevSecOps, DevOps Tool Chain - Git, Gitlab & Jenkins

• An understanding of SOA and JMS are essential and working knowledge of MQTT, AMQP, REST, and/or JavaScript, would all be assets.

• An understanding on Containerized Application - Java, Java Springboot, Json, IBM API Connect, RHOCP

• Enterprise Integration Patterns and Solution Architecture- Any experience would be an asset. Knowledge of Digital patterns, application lifecycle management, continuous integration.

• In depth knowledge and experience of hardware and software including connectivity between platforms
