Independently lead and grow business engagement with OEM/Tier-1 Engineering and sourcing teams acting as customer single point of contact for bearings and seals.
Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities by understanding customer concerns and evolving market needs.
Identify and analyse the customer technical requirements and communicate the parameters clearly and accurately to the SKF engineering value chain.
Facilitate and drive engineering activities as per SKF ETO process from the start of business opportunity until end of production, including specification phase, prototype phase, industrialization phase, series production phase and warranty phase.
Create application engineering proposals and customized solutions according to customer requirements and present to customer in a clear and effective manner.
Work in coordination with SKF product design and product engineering teams to facilitate DFMEA and discuss the same with customer on a specific project or product line.
Prepare and execute design verification and process validation test plans using global testing resources.
Promote and emphasize first-time quality by offering critical assessment of product or processes and employ continuous improvement activities such as lessons learned, warranty analysis, etc.
Participate in the execution of Root Cause Analysis of the customers application issues and contribute to the issue resolution.
Participate and contribute to internal and external trainings, assist with the development of training material.
Actively participate in maintaining workplace safety by adhering to all safety protocols, reporting hazards promptly, and upholding the companys code of conduct in all professional interactions.
Candidate Profile
University master s or bachelor s degree in engineering with 4-6 years relevant work experience in automotive applications.
Experience with passenger vehicle application is preferred.
Though not essential, experience in following offer a distinct advantage - Finite element methods, bearing testing, bearing steels, seals, greases, heat treatment and typical bearing manufacturing processes.
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Proven track record from operational and strategic work in the engineering domain.
