Title: API Management Consultant

Location: Remote, but preferably located in Europe, India, or Singapore to align with our required time zone coverage.

Time Zone: Must cover European time zone (some early morning Eastern Time meetings required)

Start Date: ASAP

Note: Preference for keeping costs low due to budget constraints.

Job Overview:

Seeking a part-time consultant to assist with developing, securing, and managing APIs. Our current tool of choice is the IBM API Management tool, though this is not a mandatory requirement. We are focused on delivering robust API solutions and need an expert to help us achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, secure, and manage APIs.
• Work with REST APIs and JSON.
• Implement and manage OAuth2 for API security.
• Collaborate with our team and stakeholders in different time zones.
• Participate in some early morning EST meetings as needed.

Mandatory Skills:

• REST API Development: Proven experience in building and managing RESTful APIs.
• JSON: Strong knowledge of JSON for API integration.
• OAUTH2: Expertise in implementing OAUTH2 for secure API authentication.

Preferred Skills:

• IBM API Management Tool: Familiarity with the tool is beneficial.
• Devex PLM: Knowledge in Devex Product Lifecycle Management is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an API developer or similar role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills.
