Experience: 5-9 years
Required Skills
- 5+ years of active, hands-on, development experience.
- Design, develop, and implement APIs using IBM API Connect.
- Create and maintain API specifications and documentation.
- Manage API lifecycle, including versioning, deprecation, and retirement.
- Integrate APIs with backend services, databases, and third-party applications.
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration.
- Implement security best practices, including OAuth, API keys, and JWT.
- Ensure APIs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Optimize API performance for scalability and reliability.
- Develop comprehensive API documentation for internal and external use.
- Must have strong knowledge of JavaScript.
- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Good to have IBM API Connect certification.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
