Role Description
Key Skills: API Automation, Rest Assured, Java, CI/CD, Core Banking domain
Exp: 3yrs+
Location - Bangalore
Technical Requirement
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for RESTful APIs using RestAssured.
- Write detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify the functionality, reliability, and performance of APIs.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing on APIs.
- Set up and manage API test environments, ensuring appropriate test data and conditions.
- Identify, analyze, and document bugs, and track their resolution in collaboration with the development team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and automation frameworks.
- Use tools like Postman, SoapUI, or other REST API testing tools
- Participate in code reviews, providing feedback on test coverage, quality, and efficiency.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of experience in API testing, with a focus on RESTful services.
- Proficient with RestAssured for API automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of Java and OOP principles.
- Experience in building, maintaining, and enhancing API test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with JSON, XML, and understanding of RESTful API concepts.
- Experience with testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Strong understanding of test case design techniques, test execution, and test management processes.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) to integrate test automation.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in a team environment.
- Experience with performance testing APIs using tools like JMeter will be preferable
