Primary Responsibility:
Application Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure Android applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement engaging and user-friendly interfaces.
Feature Implementation:
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to define and deliver new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
Testing & Debugging:
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure app quality.
- Debug and fix production issues and performance bottlenecks.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with backend developers to define APIs and ensure seamless integration.
- Work with QA teams to ensure comprehensive testing and smooth deployment.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in Android development.
- Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and contribute to team improvement initiatives.
Documentation & Maintenance:
- Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for released applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2 to 10 years of experience in Android application development.
- Proven track record of publishing at least one app on the Google Play Store.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and Android Studio.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON for app-to-server communication.
- Knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in integrating third-party libraries, tools, and SDKs.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
Tools & Frameworks:
- Familiarity with tools like Firebase, Retrofit, Room, and Glide/Picasso.
- Understanding of Android Architecture Components (ViewModel, LiveData, DataBinding).
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture design patterns.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Exposure to app analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel.
