Job Summary:

The Analyst, Travel Expense will be responsible for overseeing the company s travel and expense management processes. This role involves analyzing travel and expense data, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and providing insights to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of travel and expense management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Reporting:

   • Analyze travel and expense data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for cost savings.
   • Generate regular reports on travel and expense expenditures, providing insights to management.
   • Monitor and evaluate expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

2. Policy Compliance:

   • Ensure adherence to company travel and expense policies and procedures.
   • Review and approve travel and expense reports, ensuring all expenses are valid and properly documented.
   • Address any discrepancies or issues related to expense claims and travel arrangements.

3. Process Improvement:

   • Identify opportunities for process improvements in travel and expense management.
   • Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline procedures.
   • Collaborate with internal teams to improve the overall travel and expense process.

4. System Management:

   • Maintain and manage travel and expense management systems and tools.
   • Provide support and training to employees on the use of travel and expense systems.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the travel and expense management system.

5. Vendor Management:

   • Liaise with travel vendors and suppliers to negotiate rates and manage relationships.
   • Evaluate and manage travel agency performance and service levels.
   • Ensure compliance with negotiated terms and conditions.

6. Reconciliation:

   • Reconcile travel and expense transactions with company credit card statements and financial records.
   • Ensure accurate and timely processing of reimbursements and payments.

7. Budget Management:

   • Assist in the development and management of travel and expense budgets.
   • Monitor spending against budgets and provide recommendations for cost control.

8. Compliance and Auditing:

   • Conduct regular audits of travel and expense reports to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
   • Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in travel and expense management, financial analysis, or a similar role.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with travel and expense management software (e.g., Concur, SAP, Expensify).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
