The SAP MDG Analyst will be a part of an international team that designs, develops and delivers new applications for Koch Industries. Koch Industries is a privately held global organization with over 120,000 employees around the world, with subsidiaries involved in manufacturing, trading, and investments. Koch Technology Center (KTC) is being developed in India to extend its IT operations, as well as act as a hub for innovation in the IT function. This role will have the opportunity to join on the ground floor and will play a critical part in helping build out the Koch Technology Center (KTC) over the next several years. Working closely with global colleagues would provide significant international exposure to the employees.
Our Team
This position will work with the Georgia-Pacific Building Products IT organization as a part of the Data Management team. The role creates long-term value through support of data processes and applications. The selected candidate should have hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAP MDG and demonstrate initiative, good economic-thinking, analytical skills, and a sense of urgency.
What You Will Do
- Designing and configuring solutions in SAP MDG
- Troubleshooting customer reported issues and assisting users with day-to-day production support in a timely manner
- Able to multi-task in a high velocity of change environment, while following standards and strict change control procedures.
- Gathering and analyzing business requirements per enhancement requests; Translating requirements into functional and technical solutions
- Creating and maintaining functional specifications, configuration documents, test plans and other documentation
- Developing and executing test plans including unit and integration testing and coordination of user acceptance testing
- Working with business SMEs to deliver and support solutions.
- Working collaboratively with an extended team of cross functional and technical resources.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Analyzing problems to provide solution alternatives and recommendations.
- Performing root cause and impact analysis, documentation, and training
- Working with MDG Change Requests
- Working with MDG Validations, Derivations
- Working with Customer and Material Master Interfaces
- Working with Information Steward Matapedia and Data Insights
- Troubleshooting mass processing issues
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in technology related field
- Minimum 3 years functional experience with SAP MDG
- Strong verbal and written communication; Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and innovation
- Knowledge of master data governance and data quality best practices and industry standards
- Experience in SAP system development lifecycle from understanding of requirements to proper design techniques, configuration, writing specifications, testing, and documentation as needed.
- Data modelling, Process modelling, UI modelling, (Design and Creation of UI, Value restriction, Define navigation elements)
- Working experience on Rule-Based Workflow
- Working experience with BRF derivations and validations
- Knowledge of Rule Service BADI, Dynamic Agent BADI
- Experience in MDG UI enhancement, customizing and CBA.
- Working knowledge on key and value mapping
- Working experience in MDG Mass Processing solutions
- Working experience in MDG data modelling
- Experience with DQM Address Validation.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Building Products industry experience
- Working knowledge of interfacing Material and Customer Master via OData
- Experience with Material Master and Business Partner configuration.
- MDG implementations with prior experience using MDG in areas of Customer, Materials and Business Partner
- Technical experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)
- Experience in BRF+, ABAPOO and general ABAP.
- SAP ABAP debugging and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Experience with MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing
- Experience with Information Steward and integration with MDG.
- Working knowledge of Master Data impacts on downstream functions
- Experience working with MDG hierarchies.
- Experience using LSMW.
