Your Job
Working closely with different stakeholders, the quote analyst's role is to initiate, manage and maintain supplier quotations majorly for mechanical commodities, also to perform should costing analysis.
What You Will Do
- Initiating RFQs to suppliers and follow-up with supplier for bid
- Compare quotes and prepare business analytics based on strategy built by stakeholder
- BOM review & clean-up
- Perform cost analytics for mechanical products like Injection Molding, stamping parts, Die casting etc.
- Review and analyze supplier quotes to visualize the different alternatives ensuring accuracy and price competitiveness of supplier quotes
- Recommend alternate parts and/or suppliers
- Finalize supplier awards working closely with the purchasing and sourcing teams
- Participate and collaborate on key initiatives as assigned from time to time.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Required:
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering
Preferred:
- Engineering in Mechanical/ Electronics
- Added advantage with business studies
What Will Put You Ahead
Required:
- Good hand of experience, in SAP Ariba Sourcing, Auctions, Price data managements, Analytics
- Deep knowledge of the manufacturing processes for mechanical commodities
- Sourcing /Procurement experience
- (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)
- Strong communication skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders
- Good analytical capability
- Ability to prioritize, organize and plan workload effectively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time
- Abilities to perform under tight deadline
- IT skills: MS Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of any quotation software
- SAP Ariba
- Prior Should costing experience in mechanical category
