The QA Analyst is responsible for developing and supporting the planning, design, and execution of test cases for custom development effort s in the eDiscovery realm to ensure that the product meets minimum quality standards, is fully functional and user-friendly prior to production release. To be successful as a quality analyst, you should demonstrate strong attention to detail and have analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate must be able to interpret and implement quality assurance standards and provide accurate and comprehensive feedback to colleagues.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
- Design and implement testing plans and test cases for custom eDiscovery applications.
- Identify procedures and scenarios for the quality control of custom applications and platforms.
- Perform functional testing ( positive / negative ) to ensure products perform according to requirements .
- Use Zephyr (Jira addon) to document test cases and test results .
- Identify , document and track defects / errors and work with development to remedy them .
- Spot areas for improvement to enhance the product's efficiency as well provide recommendations for ideal end user experience.
- Work with the development team to e nsure that the final product satisfies specified requirements and meet s end-user expectations .
- Work with m anagers and b usiness leaders to ensure the intent of the development effort is understood and being executed .
Additional Responsibilities/Details:
- Ensure proper documentation is created and maintained for all QA project work.
- P roperly following time keeping and QA workflows as well as any other outlined departmental procedures .
- Attend daily stand-up calls and other project meetings where Platform Development QA is involved.
- Work with QA Lead Manager to discuss project status, roadblocks, successes, challenges, etc.
- Coordinate with developers to design and institute automated tests for applicable applications.
- Contribute to annual platform upgrade efforts by performing QA activities as needed .
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- 3-7 years of software testing experience
- eDiscovery industry 1+ years ( preferred )
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Diligent and meticulous
Other Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with J IRA Software
- Zephyr test management
- Proficien cy with Relativity preferred
- EDRM awareness preferred
- Strong computer skills and re lational databases knowledge
- Experience with Git , Kibana , LINQ pad , T-SQL
- Experience with data manipulation in t ext e ditors.
