What you'll do on a typical day:
Maintain records in accordance with established policies and procedures and all audit guidelines; participate in the development of new or revised standards and recommend new process improvements when needed.
Participate in cross functional teams and continuously improve procurement processes by identifying and leading efforts to reduce cycle times, improve service level agreements and reduce costs.
Continually look to reduce company costs and spend associated with Analyst-related responsibilities.
Utilize procurement software and data analytics tools to analyze procurement performance and supplier performance
Assist with identifying and assessing potential risks related to procurement activities, supply chain vulnerabilities, and market fluctuations.
Conduct research and market analysis to identify and evaluate supplier capabilities, financial stability, and performance.
Coordinate with suppliers to address operational issues, evaluate performance, and foster strong business relationships.
Identify opportunities with category management teams to optimize supplier partnerships and improve service levels.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
3 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management experience
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
Ability to lead effective meetings with senior leadership teams and business groups
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present complex concepts and findings in a clear and concise manner
It'd be great if you also have:
Strong project management ability to oversee multiple complex projects
Experience implementing strategic initiatives and improving supplier performance
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques and ability to manage large data sets
Experience leading change initiatives within a large complex organization
The capability to exercise judgment and discretion, and function independently within authorized limits
