Location : Gurugram, India
The Role
oOpportunity to gain valuable investment experience in mid-to-late stage private equity investments in India, SEA and other regions
oExtensive exposure to working with investment teams in India, SEA and China on various cross-border value-addition initiatives
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Deal Evaluation
Validation of industry thesis, development of investment angles, competitive industry and market analysis leading to a recommendation
2.Transaction Execution
Financial modeling and analysis, industry analysis, preparation of internal memos and reports, assistance in documentation and transaction structuring, diligence in specific areas
3.Portfolio Management
Day to day monitoring of portfolio companies, following of global industry trends and competitive landscape, analysis and preparation for board meetings
4.Providing research for Investment teams
Market data research including competitive analysis, PE/ fund raising landscape
Regular usage of financial and research databases like Bloomberg, Pitchbook, Factiva, etc. and ensuring accurate and analytical deliverables
5.Fund Analytics and Investor Relations
Support in preparation of quarterly fund reporting packages and overall fund analytics
Working on regular and ad-hoc investor requests, supporting investor relations function
Support the portfolio review process and risk management function
Candidate profile and qualifications:
oMinimum two years of relevant business experience; prior experience in Private Equity / buy-side firms / Investment Bank (M&A, Corporate Finance) would be a positive
oStrong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of finance and accounting is required; ability to interact with top management teams
oUnderstanding of business dynamics for multiple industries, characteristics of good investments, and good financial and analytical skills are expected
oOutstanding academic background with undergraduate degree from reputable universities, along with post graduate degree in business / accounting from premier institutes
