The Analyst II Trade Compliance position for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics plays a critical role to ensure the company's trade compliance practices are conducted in accordance with the rules and regulatory requirements of Customs authorities and other applicable governmental agencies. This role will serve as the lead to develop and implement the process enabling us to maximize the usage of free trade agreements to reduce our global duty exposure while maintaining an exceptional level of compliance.

This position is part of the Global Logistics & Distribution organization and is based on-site at our office in Mumbai, India. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to direct, assist with, and participate in, the following activities in support of our Trade Compliance Program:

  • Develop global standard work pertaining to the Free Trade Agreement qualification process and ensure adherence to applicable regulations while fostering creative solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as well as the various sites to activate the process for obtaining and analyzing bills of materials and related data to make qualification decisions.
  • Utilize existing data analysis tools while also supporting the development of the long-term strategy for leveraging the company's trade compliance software to facilitate the process.
  • Act as a free trade agreement subject matter expert in meetings with cross-functional partners for the purposes of information gathering, training, and business case development.
  • Develop operational metrics and KPI's to track the overall health of the program (utilization, savings, etc.).

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in trade compliance with direct experience in Free Trade Agreement qualification analysis.
  • Understanding of the rules of origin interpretation and application (tariff shift, regional value content, De Minimis, etc.)
  • Fluent in conversational and written English.
  • Hands-on experience in data manipulation in MS Excel (fluency in pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
  • Understanding of global supply chain and logistics processes.
