About The Team & Business Line
Citcos dedicated in-house Privacy Team is growing and is looking for two privacy analysts to join its team to support and oversee ongoing compliance activities. Based out of our Indian, both roles will involve close interaction with Privacy Team management to support the development and implementation of our global data privacy compliance programme. These are strategic hires with no direct reports.
Your Role
- Working with Privacy Team members to develop, maintain and develop Citcos privacy programme reflecting minimum standards and requirements in line with regulatory and legislative obligations and good industry practice
- Assisting with the coordination of cross-functional projects relating to privacy matters balancing priorities and needs of multiple stakeholders
- Other privacy and data protection related tasks as required
- Serve as a supporting point of contact for Citco local offices in relation to privacy escalations and privacy compliance assessments.
- Interact and engage with Citco service lines in a collaborative way to embed a strong culture that values privacy compliance management.
- Based on guidance from Privacy Team management, conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs), data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and data transfer impact assessments (DTIAs) for vendor and Citco data processing practices.
- Support the maintenance of Citcos data inventory by maintaining all records of processing activity (ROPAs).
- Support the maintenance of processes and procedures to help ensure local offices comply with applicable Citco policies and relevant privacy laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Provide scheduled updates and privacy risk reports to Privacy Team management as required.
- Assist in preparing timely privacy risk reports for internal Citco committees.
- Support local offices and service lines in addressing and integrating privacy requirements.
- Ensure robust privacy controls, effective risk management and compliance.
- Monitor the privacy risk management controls applied by Citco to identify and prevent various non-compliance threats.
- Foster a (privacy) risk-aware culture.
- Support and make recommendations that facilitate the continuous improvement of training policies and standard operating procedures for the protection of personal data.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of Citco data processing activities that include personal data and stay informed about updates and modifications to these activities
About You
- Bachelor's Degree with overall 7 -8 years and 3+ years of experience in privacy project management/administration.
- Additional education or certifications in the area of risk, compliance or privacy highly preferred
- Experience in planning and execution of risk management, assessments, control design, control frameworks, and prioritising risk.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A self-starter with the demonstrated ability to take initiative, who can proactively identify issues/opportunities and recommend actions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere and collaborate cross-functionally on a global scale.
- Professional approach and understanding of governance, risk management and risk assessment and control practices within financial services.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills together with the ability to document results to a high standard.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent MS Office Suite skills.
