About This Role
The Core Compliance team establishes and oversees compliance requirements for employee-related activities and evaluates adherence to these requirements to avoid perceived or actual conflicts.
The scope of oversight includes personal trading, gifts and entertainment, outside activities, private investments, and advising employees on policy requirements. The team also monitors employee adherence and applies restrictions as needed.

Your Responsibilities
- Provide advisory to employees on regulatory, policy, or procedural matters relating to personal trading, outside activities, and any other personal conflict of interest-related policies.
- Perform global compliance tasks related to the review and monitoring of risk and conflict of interest by following the policies and procedures.
- Produce and disseminate compliance-related MI to senior management and relevant committees and boards.
- Support the Compliance team on technology issue identification and partner with the technology vendor team to identify and implement solutions.
- Assess the core compliance processes and look for opportunities to automate manual processes using technology tools.
- Think beyond the process to question the status quo, bring efficiency, and improve the process in the long run.
- Create and maintain accurate departmental records, desktop procedures, and other supporting materials.
- Participate in global and/or regional compliance calls, initiatives, and projects. Work with compliance colleagues from other BlackRock offices to ensure global best practices and consistency.
- Support ad hoc projects and initiatives allocated by the manager.
You Have
- Postgraduate degree with 2-3 years of relevant Compliance experience in the financial industry.
- Experience in an asset management or investment banking environment.
- Employee compliance experience will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in management information reporting, handling large Excel datasets, and using macros is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team-based environment and interact and communicate effectivelyboth written and verbalwith senior personnel, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to motivate and work with the team to achieve the best desired outcomes for the function and the organization.
- High standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other system applications.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated attitude with a can do approach and the ability to use your own initiative.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously on multiple projects/initiatives.
- Data interpretation and analytics skills will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of technology and the use of tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, and other similar tools to automate existing manual processes, which would be an added advantage.
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels and work with multiple teams and colleagues across geographies in a matrix-driven organization.
