Your Next Exciting Role
This role is the backbone of the prepaid card or debit card department, ensuring the smooth functioning of cardholder accounts and various card-related processes. This role is is responsible for researching and resolving credit card transaction disputes filed by cardholders and accountable for the completion of daily reconciliation processes for card transactions on Nium's reconciliation platform.
What would a day in your life @Nium look like
- Manage cardholder accounts, including processing payments, updating account information, and handling adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve basic card-related issues, such as lost/stolen cards, late payments, and failed transactions.
- Independently carry out Reconciliation processes as per prescribed in the Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that settlement with Visa/Mastercard and settlement between NIUM Clients and NIUM are accounted for
- Swiftly identify root causes for reconciliation exceptions, investigate and resolve the exceptions within stipulated turn around times
- Accurately report to Nium's Treasury department, of funds movements required for Settlement with Schemes within a fixed timeline
- Identify and address risk, process gaps in reconciliation process.
- Review credit card transaction disputes and analyze account information to understand the nature of the claim.
- Gather evidence to support or refute the dispute, which may include contacting cardholders for clarification, reviewing transaction details, and retrieving relevant documentation.
- Investigate and resolve client escalations related to settlement and card transactions.
What expertise & experiences would you need to have to play this kind of role
- University degree holder in preferable Business Administration or Commerce
- 1-2 years relevant experience in Card Reconciliation
- Highly familiar with Visa and Mastercard Settlement processes in APAC and EU regions
- Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of fundamental accounting principles (debit vs credit , revenues vs expenses, assets vs liabilities)
- Intermediate to Advance proficiency level in Microsoft Excel
- Basic to intermediate level of executing SQL queries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong prioritisation and execution skills
- Team management experience
- Self-motivated and a good team player.
