POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the business grows and the regulatory environment evolves, Apollo wants to leverage technology and analytics to augment the control environment, drive efficiencies, and build a scalable expense allocation platform to support business growth in a sustainable manner through its Strategic Finance organization.
Strategic Finance is part of Apollo s Enterprise Solutions division and includes several key global responsibilities including firm financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, Senior Management reporting, profitability analysis and other financial analysis work.
The Expense Allocation Analyst will report to the group s Expense Allocation Lead.
The incumbent will interact closely with Apollo employees around the globe to ensure that expenses are properly coded, to ensure that allocations are both timely and accurate. Additionally, the role offers the opportunity to set forth allocation best practices.
A successful candidate will have prior experience working in Finance, Expense Allocation, or related fields, as well as demonstrated analytical skills to understand the firm s allocation landscape. The candidate should also be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support all aspects of day-to-day activities and deliverables of the Expense Allocation function, encompassing:
Code Management
EAS code creation and approval on behalf of users.
Complete ownership of code inactivation process.
Review daily PeopleSoft Error Log and fixing code errors.
Review daily termination file and update the team roles.
Manage daily queries and provide training session to the users.
Automation Project and Expense Allocation System Administration
Expense Allocation System code administration and control oversight
Maintain notes and track errors and fix
Assist with updating the process document and training guidelines.
Apply strong technical process understanding to UAT testing
Reports
Generate monthly and quarterly reports.
Generate adhoc report request.
Initiate code certification process
Qualifications & Experience
1-4 years of general accounting experience - CA / MBA in Finance
Proficiency and demonstrated experience working in Microsoft Excel
Proven ability to synthesize information and summarize issues into concise reporting, based on specifications requested by management
High attention to detail and organizational skills, to produce accurate work
Highly self-motivated, with strong integrity and a high degree of professionalism
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, and have the willingness to take on additional responsibilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated attention to detail
