Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
- Implementing the product's lifecycle: Design, development, quality, deployment, and maintenance.
- Developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration.
- Providing improvements to the product(s) being supported.
- Actively participating in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases.
- Supporting release planning with conceptual design and development/refinement of software engineering guidelines Writing technical documentation.
Strategy
- The resource should align with Bank's strategy to improve client relationship with sold product deliveries.
- Help team member's development and ensuring that all the necessary training is provided / arranged in timely manner and team stay motivated.
- Improve code quality statistics, participate/drive code reviews and continuously reduce technical debt.
- Identifying/Gathering/Questioning and challenging when necessary/ documenting the interface requirements
- Provide inputs on existing processes and collaborate with DevOps team towards automation and delivery efficiency.
- Study existing engineering processes and contribute to improvements to drive up efficiencies.
- Collaborate with teams globally to deliver, present ideas and innovate.

- Candidate should have experience in Banking domain with real time experience in Client OnBoarding domain

- Understand and adhere to Bank standard process in delivering the projects and follow the Bank standard SDLC process, Group policy and process.
People & Talent
- Required Skills:
- Min 5+ relevant experience
- Professional software engineering experience with Java
- Good at writing clean, modular, readable, and testable Java code
- Strong knowledge of Struts, Spring Boot, Hibernate framework, a good understanding of REST API principles and best practices
- Experience in building Microservices
- Proficient with CI/CD practices and production deployment
- Experience with Container (Docker) and Container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Actively participate in all the SDLC phases throughout project till implementation and post production support.
- Experience in Continuous Integration Tool Jenkins / Hudson
- Experience / Knowledge in Version Control systems like GIT, Bitbucket etc
- Experience in writing SQLs / PL-SQL (Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages and Triggers)
- Familiarity with basic web application security concepts
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud services
- Experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams
- Ability to explain technical solutions to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good knowledge in shell scripting & Unix commands

- Candidate should have strong experience in Risk management and mitigation process

Qualifications
- Degree in information technology, computer science, or any professional degree with related experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of software development and its technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, Spring Boot, Struts, Hibernate
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Dev Ops, Unix scripting.
- Solid experience in coding.
- Strong knowledge of user interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and Project execution, Implementation and Post Implementation Support.
- Good communication skills.
- Good time management skills.
