Role
- Testing & evaluation of IC engine for performance & durability.
- Root cause analysis for solving the reliability problems.
- Identification of countermeasures.
Responsibility
- Execute a variety of reliability tests for internal combustion engines, including Durability, Function, Strength, and Friction
- Testing data analysis, result compilation, report preparation and presentations
- Analysis and resolution of quality issues.
- Execution of advance projects and studies for improving quality & reliability of engines.
- Summarization of findings along with objective evaluation of counter-measure effectiveness.
- Develop and implement improvements to testing processes and procedures
- Working in dynamic team for coordination with Engine testing, vehicle testing, production, supply chain, quality etc
Technical Competencies
- Relevant work experience in Engine Reliability testing
- Basic knowhow of Engine parts, sub systems & systems
- Model Development Process / Timelines, Engine Validation /Testing, Open Point Tracking / Resolution / Closure
- Understanding of Model Development Processes
- Engine-dyno bench or Emission Measurement system equipment know-how.
- Engine Management System such as ECU / Sensors / Actuators
- Data Analysis Tools such as Concerto / INCA / MDA/MATLAB/ Excel Macro or equivalent
- Know-how of QC tools (Why-why analysis, DFMEA, FTA, etc.)
- IC Engines / Emerging Trends in Powertrain Technologies
- Key Components / Systems such as Turbocharger/ VVT / EGR / Catalyst/ Canister/ OBD /AMT/ CVT / AT/ ISS / ISG and other evolving high-tech components.
- Emission / CO2 Regulatory Norms such as BS6 /CAFE Norms, Test Cycles MIDC / WLTP etc.
Educational Qualification And Work Experience
Full Time - B. E / B. Tech /Diploma (Mechanical / Automobile /Mechatronics Engineering)
Minimum 60% marks throughout education
