Alumni Relations Associate
Competencies: Must have excellent multitasking, attention-to-detail, organizational and
interpersonal skills with high energy and creativity. Strong desire and natural ability to deal with people. Ability to collaborate within a team in a fast-paced environment while also working independently and being self-motivated. Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality of sensitive information. Written and verbal communication skills, social media expertise as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (particularly Word, Excel, and Publisher) are essential.
Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
- Envisioning and executing relationship strategies for exemplary alumni relations under the general direction of the Chairperson Alumni Relations at School of Business Management
- Organizing and coordinating events and activities such as alumni functions, alumni publications, fund raising, recognition and awards, reunions, alumni and/or student relations, and other special events and services throughout the year at regular intervals
- Providing staff assistance to Alumni Association committees and alumni groups, as assigned.
- Co-ordinating with Portal/web/Marketing teams for creative, collaterals and content
- Ensuring compliance with documentation & University policies.
- Promoting and fostering effective alumni relations through continuing written communication and personal contact with constituent groups.
Qualifications
- Education: Have a relevant undergraduate/ graduate degree in business, media or communication.
- Experience: 1-3 years in the communications, special events, development or volunteer management or a comparable role that includes an acknowledged work history showing creative productivity.
Other Desirable Qualifications/Skills
- Knowledge and experience of the Higher Education sector
- Strong analytical, IT and administrative skills including experience in portal maintenance
